DJ Campbell scored twice and Daryl Murphy once as Town beat Millwall 3-0 at Portman Road to halt the Lions’ unbeaten run at 13 games. The Blues, who have now won three in a row themselves, went in front in the first half when Campbell converted Aaron Cresswell’s cross, then after the break Murphy netted the second and Campbell added the third from the penalty spot. |

Town have confirmed that former coach Steve Foley has returned to the club as the academy’s youth development coach, as first revealed by TWTD a fortnight ago. Academy director Bryan Klug has also added ex-Colchester and Birmingham striker and one-time Blues trainee Steve McGavin to his staff as head of recruitment, replacing Malcolm Moore, who retired earlier in the summer. |

Bury Town have confirmed that former Blues striker James Scowcroft has taken up a coaching role at Playford Road, as revealed by TWTD a week ago. Scowcroft had recently been appointed assistant manager at Ram Meadow but will now be replaced by former Cambridge and Luton defender Ben Chenery, who coincidentally also began his playing career as an Ipswich Town youth player. |
